Jain Vivah

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 July 2026

This policy explains, in plain language, how Jain Vivah collects and uses your information. We have written it for everyday readers, not lawyers.

What we collect

When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and password. When you complete your profile we collect details such as your date of birth, gender, sect, education, occupation, family details, city, and photos. If you choose to add a contact number, we collect that too.

Why we collect it

We use this information only to run the matrimonial service: to create and show your profile to other verified members, to let you search and filter profiles, to send you important account emails, and to keep the platform safe from misuse.

Your contact number is never shown automatically

Your phone number is never displayed on your profile or to any other member automatically. It is shared with another member only after you personally accept an interest request from that member. You are always in control of this decision.

Photos are private and watermarked

Photos you upload are only visible to verified members inside the app — they are not public on the open internet. Every photo shown carries a watermark to discourage it being copied and misused elsewhere.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a database and authentication provider. Access to the database is restricted and protected by password and row-level security rules.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile is removed from search and your personal data is deleted from our active systems, other than records we must keep briefly for security or legal reasons.

Your right to delete your data

You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by writing to us at the email below. We will act on genuine requests promptly, in line with your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

As a user based in India, you have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to correct or update it, to withdraw your consent to its use, and to have it erased, subject to any legal requirement to retain certain records. We only process your personal data for the purposes described in this policy and with your consent.
